I offer a wide variety of counseling, assessment, clinical supervision, consultation, visitation oversight, critical incident stress management (debriefings and defusing), mediation and training services. I work individually with clients age 15 and up, as well as families, couples and groups.

I employ a variety of therapy techniques tailored to your specific needs. My style of therapy usually includes some homework items to maximize your therapy dollar. I also work with a variety of sexual issues that may complicate your life. I accept most major credit (and debit) cards through Paypal. I subscribe to the belief, to quote trauma specialist Colin Ross, PhD ‘the problem is not the problem’ — it is actually a symptom of what really is the problem. I will work with you to enhance your coping skills so as to replace the symptoms that are adversely affecting your life.

Most issues that bring people to therapy stem from grief/loss, whether through traumatic circumstances or otherwise. I specialize in working w/folks who are coping with life in ways that are not healthy for them, and assist them in learning new coping mechanisms to improve their quality of life.

Harmful behaviors are not the problem –it’s why you are driven to engage in troublesome behaviors as a coping mechanism that is the real problem. The work that needs to be done centers around finding effective substitute coping mechanisms to help deal with distressing feelings. That is the journey.

I offer divorce/family mediation services and am a Master Addictions Counselor, Certified Addictions Counselor II, and trained in Critical Incident Stress Management/Debriefing. I also do assessments, including substance abuse assessments and regularly work with persons on anger management issues and provide services for persons mandated for substance abuse treatment.
